Association Deletion Rules

Reported by Dan Schultz | January 15th, 2011 @ 04:04 AM | in 0.2.0

When an entity is destroyed, a client might want to specify a behavior on how its associations are treated.

Here are some possible actions:

  • Nothing - Nothing happens, and is assumed that the backend handles the behavior.
  • Cascade - The association's entities are also destroyed.

Mesh is an open-source persistence framework for Adobe Flex. It is designed to make the persistence of your application's model easier. Mesh provides the mechanisms for defining the associations between your model's entities, tracking which objects need to be saved, and mapping your entities to backend services.
